Engine Management System (“EMS”)
Your engine may have an EMS installed. The EMS is designed to collect engine performance information, which is used to provide engine support and services. The information collected is related to performance and configuration data; data analytics, diagnostic, fault codes, and maintenance; and, repair services. The EMS information may be transmitted through wireless transmission automatically or manually to DEUTZ. We share EMS information with you, DEUTZ employees, DEUTZ affiliates, authorized distributors, authorized service dealers and other business partners to the extent that they are assisting DEUTZ in providing products or services, or for other purposes on behalf of DEUTZ.
While DEUTZ cannot identify the owner or operator of an engine with this EMS information alone, it may be possible to make that determination when the EMS information is combined with other data that may be available to us. However, please note that it is not our intent to identify specific individuals nor engage in any type of behavior or other individual-related surveillance. Rather, the purpose of this data collection is limited to evaluating and improving the performance of our engines and to facilitate customer services.

DEUTZ has put in place appropriate physical, electronic and managerial practices to help safeguard and secure the information we collect online from loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorized access or theft. This includes appropriate safeguards for customers making purchases through our sites, as well as those who enroll in our programs.
